Gum Arabic
Gum Arabic also known as acacia gum, is a natural gum, is a white to the green adhesive that is tasteless and odorless and does not negatively affect products. taken from two species of the acacia tree; Acacia Senegal and Acacia Seyal. they are cultivated in Sudan, Arabia, and West Asia.
It is mainly used as a thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier, and coating agent glaze. This product is widely used in beverage production, such as the production of soft drinks, juice concentrate flavor, and essential oils which can be stabilized. It is also used in candy making, like traditional hard (liquor) chicle, soft candy, and cotton candy. It could also be used as a foam stabilizer.
Physical and Chemical Properties of Gum
- It is a pale white orange-brown solid that breaks such as a glassy fracture.
- Highly soluble in water and solution up to 55% can be obtained.
- It is insoluble in oils and most organic solvents.
- It is regarded as 95% soluble fiber.
- It contains neutral sugars such as Rhamnose, Arabinose, and Galactose.
- It contains Glucuronic acid and 4 – methoxy glucuronic acid.
- Cationic components like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium are included.
- The molecular weight ranges from 200,000 to 300,000 and as high as 600,000

Types of products we Export
Sudanese gum is of the highest quality. There are two types of gum produced in Sudan.
- Hashab gum or Acacia Senegal is of higher quality and is therefore more expensive.
- Gum acacia or Acacia seyal is of lower quality.
